Ashley comes to us with over 10 years of experience in the veterinary field. She began her career working part time at a veterinary hospital as a receptionist after school. Once she completed high school she went on to study at Virginia Tech, and earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences. After graduation, Ashley worked at a local animal shelter where she cared for homeless animals, and helped them find loving homes. Four years into her time at the shelter, she decided that she wanted to go back to school to become a licensed veterinary technician. Ashley attended Blue Ridge Community College’s Veterinary Technology program and graduated in 2017. Since receiving her license she has worked in small animal practice.
In her spare time she enjoys adventuring with her family, cross stitching, hanging out with her dogs and chickens, gardening, attending continuing education classes, and studying homeopathy.
Ashley is excited to join the team at IVC and learn more about holistic modalities for treating our four legged friends.
